Privacy Policy
ReadyAdult is built for families, so we treat teen data with extra care. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, and how you stay in control.
Who we are
ReadyAdult ("we", "us") operates readyadult.com. For privacy questions, contact hello@readyadult.com.
Data we collect
- Account data: parent email, authentication identifiers, and (optional) a linked teen account.
- Teen profile: first name or nickname, age, and goals you enter.
- Assessment and progress data: answers to readiness questions, Ready Score history, category scores, missions completed, XP, levels and badges.
- Coaching messages: questions asked of the AI coach and its replies.
- Technical data: device and browser information, and essential cookies needed for sign-in and security.
We do not ask for Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, precise location or health records. Please don't enter them.
How we use it
- Calculate the Ready Score and age-based benchmarks.
- Generate a personalized readiness plan, roadmap and weekly missions.
- Answer coaching questions and produce parent progress reports.
- Operate, secure and support the service, and handle billing for paid plans.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use teen data for advertising or targeted profiling.
AI processing
Assessment summaries and coaching questions are sent to our AI provider through a secure server-side gateway to generate plans and replies. Only the context needed for the response is sent, and we ask providers not to train their models on it. AI output is guidance, not professional financial, legal, medical or driving instruction.
Children's privacy
ReadyAdult is designed for parents of teens aged 14–18. Accounts are created and controlled by a parent or legal guardian, who decides what teen information is entered and can delete a teen profile at any time from Settings. We do not knowingly create accounts for children under 13.
Sharing and processors
We share data only with processors that run the service: cloud hosting and database, authentication, AI inference, email delivery and payment processing. Each is bound to use the data solely to provide their service to us. We may disclose data if legally required or to protect the safety of a user.
Retention
Progress data is retained while your account is active so trends stay meaningful. Deleting a teen profile removes their assessment, missions, coaching history and score history. Deleting your account removes your data within 30 days, except records we must keep for legal or accounting reasons.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is enforced at the database level with row-level security so a parent sees only their own family, and a linked teen sees only their own record. Privileged operations run server-side and are never exposed to the browser.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under GDPR, UK GDPR and US state privacy laws such as the CCPA/CPRA), you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, or object to certain processing. Email us and we will respond within 30 days. You can withdraw cookie consent at any time from Cookie Policy.
Changes
If we make material changes we will update this page and, where required, notify you by email.
